Exploring the Importance of Cybersecurity Awareness in the BCA Curriculum
In today's rapidly modernizing world, when there are attacks all over the world on confidential data, there is a high demand for cybersecurity in every organization to protect the data from cyberattacks in every sector. As the world is growing day by day with digitalization, so the need for digital threats is also growing, so there is a need for a cyber protector & workforce.
So, the need for students pursuing a Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) is also required, as many topics are already being covered in undergraduate programs related to cybersecurity. So, cybersecurity awareness is also critical and not optional.
Overview of BCA Course
BCA is an undergraduate 3-year program that is divided into 6 semesters. The eligibility criteria to enroll in this course are 10+2 from a recognized board, and some may require mathematics or computer science in the 12th standard. This course creates a base for students by teaching them a basic understanding of computer science in the IT sector.
This course teaches students various IT subjects such as software development, system administration, networking, and IT management. This course trains in theory and other subjects, such as developing core programming and analytical skills by providing software development and computer application practices. This 3-year undergraduate course prepared future IT students for further higher studies such as MCA or MBA (IT).
